India Gets Another McLaren 720S; This Time In White Colour

McLaren doesn’t sell its cars officially in India; this particular model has arrived from Dubai via Carnet

British sportscar manufacturer McLaren doesn’t sell its cars officially in India. But, that doesn’t bar the enthusiasts with deep pocket to get their hands on a McLaren model. Just a few weeks after India’s first McLaren 720S landed in Bangalore, the second model has been spotted and this time it silently arrived in Mumbai. This particular model too has been brought here from Dubai via Carnet, which means it will stay here for a short time.

The particular McLaren 720S spied in Mumbai wears a white paint scheme. It is not sure who brought this here and the spec of the car is not confirmed as well. McLaren 720S sportscar made its debut at 2017 Geneva Motor Show and it grabbed everyone’s attention immediately. The two-door sport coupe is priced at around $254,000 (Approximately Rs. 1.63 crore) in international market.

This spectacular British super replaced the 650S upon its arrival and the car is available in three different specs that are the normal 720S, Luxury package and Performance package. The car is powered by a 4.0-litre M840T twin-turbocharged V8 engine coupled with a 7-speed DCT. The engine is capable of churning out massive 710 bhp of peak power and 770 Nm of peak torque.The car can accelerate to 100 kmph from standstill in just 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 341 kmph.

The McLaren 720S is built on a lightweight chassis built of carbon fibre. This chassis reduces weight of the car to aid the high performance. The McLaren 720S gets several advanced technology like electro-hydraulic power steering, Variable Drift Control System, Proactive Chassis Control II, magnetorheological damper, brake steer system etc and all of these help the supercar to deliver a great performance.

No wonder, demands for the luxury cars and supercars are increasing in India in recent times. While sportscar giants like Lamborghini, Ferrari and Porsche are already selling their products here, we hope McLaren will start business in the country in near future too.
