Volvo unveiled its compact premium SUV XC40 few weeks ago and now the upmarket car has entered production in the Swedish automaker’s Ghent plant in Belgium. The automaker has already received more than 13,000 orders for the SUV from buyers. As the band says, it will start delivery of the car from early next year.

As the luxury auto major says, XC40 will bring brighter days for the Ghent plant and the company as well. Speaking about the design of Volvo XC40, the SUV takes inspiration from its bigger sibling XC90. It sports sharp headlamps with projector lamps, ‘Thor’s Hammer’ pattern LED daytime running lights, a shiny black front grille with chrome trim around it. There is a wide and horizontally slated black central air intake flanked by blackened fog lamp housings. Also, there are skid plate and black cladding.

Moving to side profile, the SUV gets stylish and sporty alloy wheels, black cladding, a blackened glass area and a muscular stance at the lower side profile. Rear profile of the SUV features vertically slated LED taillights just like its siblings. There is an integrated roof spoiler and a chunky bumper as well. Overall, the SUV looks pretty stylish from every angle.
