Nissan Micra 2017 is expected to make debut at the Paris Motor Show in October; based on an all-new lightweight platform

The new generation Nissan Micra has been spotted several times already. Also several rendering images have been published. One thing is very clear from all the spyshots and all the rendering images. The 2017 Nissan Micra will don a very aggressive guise. The car gets a completely new front fascia. Also it comes based on an all new lightweight platform.

The new generation Nissan Micra comes with an aggressive front grille sporting a V shaped sleek chrome bar. The Japanese automaker’s latest models adorn this type of V shaped motion grille. The headlamps cluster come trimmed and sleeker with integrated LED daytime running lights. The front bumper comes revised as well. It features an aggressive air intake. The fog lamps come with black accents.

The side profile of the new Micra adorns sporty and bold alloy wheels, sharper and floating cuts and creases, chrome door handles. The ORVMs come with integrated side turning indicator. The roofline gets a nice sloping appearance. The glass area is blackened out and highlighted with sleek chrome trim. A significant change is the thick C pillar which also houses the rear passenger door handle. So far, the new Micra comes with a perfect floating roof design.

The rear profile of the car dons a roof spoiler, wrap around taillights. The interior of the new Micra features a revised look and several upmarket features as well. A new multifunction steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system has made their way into the cabin. Also the cabin offers more space compare to the outgoing model. The new Micra is based on the CMF-B platform. The India spec model will be based on the tweaked V platform though.

The international market spec Micra is powered by a 1.0 litre three cylinder turbocharged petrol engine under the hood. The diesel variant will be equipped with a 1.5 litre unit. Transmission options will include both manual and automatic gearbox options. The new car will be manufactured at the Renault plant in Flins near Paris. The car will make its global debut at upcoming 2016 Paris Motor Show.
