The seven-seater option is only offered in the G grade as the Rush gets a host of feature additions; uses a single petrol engine option

The new generation Toyota Rush has gone on sale in Philippines following its market entry in Indonesia at the beginning of the year. It has been priced at Php 9,48,000 (Rs. 12.26 lakh) for the entry-level 1.5 E MT variant, while the 1.5 E AT is up for grabs at Php 9,88,000 (Rs. 12.77 lakh). The range-topping 1.5 G AT carries a price tag of Php 10,70,000 (Rs. 13.83 lakh).

The Japanese auto giant only offers three variants of the Rush in the Indonesian market. The 2018 Toyota Rush features several cosmetic and interior updates, in line with the latest market trend. It comes equipped with LED headlights with line guide, LED rear combination unit with line guide, 16-inch alloy wheels and integrated rear spoiler.

As for the equipment, it gets seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Weblink connectivity for Android and iOS platforms and six-speaker audio among others. The Rush measures 4,435 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, 1,705 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,685 mm with 220 mm ground clearance. While the base five-seat variant offers bootspace of 514 litres, the G model only enables 213 litres due to extra room for two.

The seven-seater G grade gains Smart Entry, multi-spoke steering wheel wrapped in leather with audio controls, automatic climate control, eight-speaker audio, 17-inch wheels, roof rails, six airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic brake-force Distribution), VSC (Vehicle Stability Control), HAS (Hill Start Assist), etc.

The six paint schemes offered are Dark Red Mica Metallic, Silver Mica Metallic and White, Black Metallic, Bordeaux Mica and Bronze Mica Metallic. It takes power from single petrol engine as the 1.5-litre dual VVT-I unit is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 102 PS at 6,000 rpm and 134 Nm of peak torque delivered at 4,200 rpm. It is mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed auto.
