Kia launches the new Rio Pulse in UK priced from £14,595 (Rs. 12.26 lakh); gets distinctive colour scheme and sporty parts
South Korean auto manufacture Kia has launched a special edition of the Rio hatchback in UK market that is priced from £14,595 (Rs. 12.26 lakh). Christened as the Kia Rio Pulse, this special edition hatchback will be available in limited numbers and it appears with distinctive features compared to the standard model.
The Kia Rio Pulse special edition model is available in two different exterior colour options that are the Clear White and Midnight Black. Apart from that, it also dons red trims at the fog lamp housing, side skirts, ORVM caps and the roof too comes painted in red. The special edition hatchback runs on 17-inch sporty alloy wheels wrapped with 205/45 tyres that enhance the car’s visual appeal further.

Not only at exterior, inside the cabin too this limited edition of the hatchback receives several unique features. It comes with contrasting Black and Red faux leather upholstery, red trims at doors, leather wrapping on steering wheel and gear shifter. Also, it dons stainless steel pedals, a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, DAB radio, RDS messaging functions.
The car offers USB charging ports to both the front and rear occupants separately. On the safety front, it gets reverse parking camera and reverse parking sensors along with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), vehicle stability management, cornering brake control, hill start assist etc. On the powertrain front, the Kia Rio Pulse hatchback gets a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine is capable of churning out 83 PS of peak power and 121 Nm of peak torque.

Kia is preparing to enter the Indian market and Rio hatchback is one of the models from the brand that is highly expected to be launched here. The brand will also focus on the SUV and crossover segment as the demands for these cars are phenomenal in the domestic market.
