Renault Duster has been a very popular compact SUV in the Indian market over the years. Now, the SUV gets a new generation model that has been unveiled and displayed at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. It received pretty good response at the event. Expect this all-new Renault Duster to arrive in Indian market during mid 2018 or in early 2019.

The next generation Renault Duster appears pretty muscular and visually more attractive compared to the current model. A completely revised front fascia, new headlamps with cluster like appearance and integrated LED daytime running lights, an updated front grille with plenty of chrome garnishing are there. The front bumper looks chunky and there are neatly positioned fog lamps at both ends and a skid plate is also there.

The front bumper and side profile boasts a black cladding that enhances its visual appeal. Apart from there, muscular front fenders, sporty new design 17-inch alloy wheels, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, sleek aluminium roof rail, blackened glass area are the other design elements visible there. Moving to the back, the next generation Duster gets a completely new and compact taillight design. Apart from that, it also gets a chunky bumper and a skid plate as well. Dimensionally, it would come larger along with a longer wheelbase as well, ensuring a spacious and comfortable cabin.

This 2018 Renault Duster is based on the B0/Logan platform and it offers a very upmarket and updated interior compared to its predecessor. The interior of the new Duster SUV delivers a sporty vibe thanks to its updated design. It gets a multifunction steering wheel, analog and digital display consisting instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system at the centre console. There are circular AC vents as well. The high quality seat and upholstery materials enhance its appeal. The SUV will be available in the five-seater compact SUV, and no seven-seater model is arriving here.

On the powertrain front, 2018 Renault Duster could get a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine in domestic market. Expect both the engines to be capable of churning out generous amount of power and torque output along with impressive fuel efficiency. Transmission options will include a manual gearbox and the Easy-R AMT will be continued in the new generation model from its predecessor.

The Japanese automaker is gearing up to introduce the Honda Jazz facelift soon in the domestic market and the car has been officially unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. Facelifted version of the Honda Jazz is expected to make its India debut at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo in February next year.

As the car has been finally uncovered, it shows how Honda has given subtle refreshing touch to this premium hatchback and made it visually more appealing compared to the current model available in India. The sporty hatchback gets sharper LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. There is a thick and wide black bar on top of the black front grille connecting the headlamps. The front bumper too gets a revised look and it dons a black central air intake with sleek chrome trim. It is flanked by fog lamps with chrome bezel positioned at black housing.

Moving to the side profile, Honda Jazz facelift boasts sharper look, but retains the key design elements of the current model. Its sharp and deep character line is visible here running through the doors, starting behind of front fender and meeting the taillights. In that case, it would replace the current model’s 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol motor on offer in domestic market. Expect power and torque output of the diesel engine to remain same and transmission options for the hatchback would include a 5-speed manual gearbox for the petrol model, a CVT with paddle shifter for the petrol model and a 6-speed manual unit for the diesel powered Jazz.

The Toyota C-HR boasts a very aggressive design with sculpted look. It competes with rivals like Mazda CX-3 and Honda HR-V in the global market and in the automaker’s global portfolio, the car is positioned between Auris Touring Sports and RAV-4. Volkswagen is in constant process of increasing its market share in India. The German carmaker is gearing up to launch some interesting models in the country in near future and one of them is the T-Roc compact SUV that has made its public debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. It is based on the Volkswagen T-Roc concept from 2013 Geneva Motor Show and it shares the same MQB A0 platform with Volkswagen Polo and Seat Ibiza.

Suzuki Swift Sport

As Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the new generation Swift hatchback in the country with a completely revamped appearance and sportier, upmarket stance, the performance focused Suzuki Swift Sport too is likely to arrive in the country in near future. As the automaker is emphasising on introducing more premium and performance focused cars in the country, speculation of swift Sport’s India launch has been ignited. The new Swift Sport grabbed everyone’s attention at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, where it made public debut.

In terms of design, the Suzuki Swift Sport shares several elements with its regular version. But the distinctiveness is also visible clearly. The Swift Sport features sharp headlamps with projector lamps and integrated LED daytime running lights. A black large front grille is there with bold mesh and the brand logo at centre. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox and there will be a 6-speed automatic unit on offer as well.

Honda CR-V is a well received SUV across the world. But in India, this model has not been able to taste success. However, with the changing tide in the Indian auto market when the buyers are showing interest towards more premium cars and specially SUVs and crossovers are seeing increasing sales number, Honda is expecting to see good fortune with the new Honda CR-V. Apart from that, the Japanese automaker is also preparing to introduce a hybrid version of the SUV that has been showcased at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Previously this SUV was displayed at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show. In comparison to the non-hybrid model, this hybrid version appears with distinctive exterior design. Porsche has showcased its Cayenne SUV at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show and this car is likely to hit Indian market sometime next year. The new model gets a revised styling and improved features compared to the current model. Compared to the present SUV, the upcoming Cayenne has been updated with focus on aesthetic design and aerodynamic efficiency. Therefore the new Porsche Cayenne arrives with better aerodynamic efficiency.

Speaking about its design, the SUV gets a revised front fascia incorporating LED headlamps, larger front grille with horizontal slats and bigger air intakes at both sides with horizontal LED lamps. Apart from that, the hood appears sculpted looking and there is a skid plate as well. It also features new design alloy wheels, lowered roofline, new LED taillights like the Panamera Sport Turismo.

New Mercedes-Benz G-Class

Test mules of the next generation G-Class have been spied couple of times, but they didn’t reveal much about the car. Now, the Frankfurt show will give us an opportunity to see the car in flesh closely. Also, this is expected to arrive in India sometime in 2019.

Speaking about the design overhaul of the next generation Mercedes G-Class, it retains the basic design element from the current model. But appears wider compared to the present model ensuring more space for the occupants and stronger road presence. However, in terms of length it will appear shorter. Apart from that, it will get LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights as well. We could see revised front grille and updated bumpers as well.

The new G-Class will feature new design wheels, revised wheel arches. It will use blend of aluminium and high strength steel in order to increase the rigidity and to reduce weight. BMW announced about the arrival of the 2018 X7 SUV back in 2014 and now the luxury SUV has made its appearance at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The production model of the BMW X7 SUV is going to be based on the same platform as the X5 and X6 and it will share several components with flagship 7-Series sedan. BMW X7 SUV is going to be the Bavarian auto giant’s answer against the Mercedes GLS SUV. BMW X7 concept clearly reveals the design of the upcoming SUV and it also hints about the features the car is about to offer inside the cabin. BMW showcased 10 new models at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show under its theme “This is Tomorrow, Now.” Among those exciting products, one car certainly grabbed attention of everyone that is the next flagship coupe from the brand, the 8-Series. This concept model has been already previewed through the images published online. Before the production model gets uncovered next year, the Bavarian auto giant took opportunity to showcase the concept model at the Frankfurt event.

The BMW 8-Series adopts a very aggressive and sculpted design language that is expected to be visible in the future cars from the brand. The unparallel design of this coupe includes sharp and sleek headlamps with hint of the automaker’s signature styling like dual LED rings. BMW is preparing to roll out the new 6-Series Gran Turismo or 6-Series GT in the Indian market next year. Ahead of that, this luxury car has been showcased at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The German brand also aims to produce this car here in its Chennai plant. Images of this car have been already revealed online, but now the automotive world is preparing to see the car in flesh at the Frankfurt event. Upon launch, it will replace the BMW 5-Series GT.

Speaking about the BMW 6-Series GT’s design, it gets the German luxury automaker’s signature LED corona ring with projector headlamps, black kidney grille with sleek chrome trim around it and vertically positioned slats. The all-new Audi A8 is going to be the next big product from the German luxury car manufacturer in India and this flagship sedan is expected to launch here sometime in 2019. Ahead of that, the automaker displayed the premium sedan at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. This sedan has been already featured in the ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’ movie and it appears with a very attractive and appealing stance. The car premiered at Audi Summit in Barcelona, Spain and grabbed attention of the world.

Speaking about the design of the sedan, it features a very sharp and bold stance and portrays the Ingolstadt based car manufacturer’s latest global design language. This aggressive looking premium crossover is being considered for Indian market by the luxury auto manufacturer. Once launched, it would compete with the Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA and BMW X1. Considering the growing demand for the premium cars and Indian buyers’ love for SUVs and crossovers, the Lexus NX has a pretty good chance to arrive here and join the siblings like LX 450d, ES 300h and RX450h.

The all-new Lexus NX crossover sports a very aggressive appearance thanks to its sharp and bold design. One of them could be the Kia Stonic crossover that has been uncovered at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Considering the high demands for SUVs and crossovers in the domestic market, Kia Stonic has good chance to impress many buyers. The automaker has unveiled the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. It was spied a few days ago in China revealing the details of the facelifted SUV. The new Land Cruiser Prado not only receives updated exterior styling, it also dons a more upmarket interior in order to boost the appeal of the SUV. The car is expected to arrive in India sometime next year or in 2019.

Speaking about its design, the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado gets a revised black front grille with plenty of chrome garnishing. Leaving the current model’s radiator grille design, it boasts a hexagonal pattern that appears more contemporary. Sharper and redesigned headlamps with projector lamps and integrated LED daytime running lights are there.
