7-Seater Renault Duster likely to launch in FY16 in India, to rival Scorpio & Safari in India
7-Seater Renault Duster has turned into reality. The much awaited 7-Seater Renault Duster is all set to grab market share from its competition. One of the things lacking in the complete package of the Duster was the seven seat option. Duster took the market from all entry-level SUV in all markets. In India it targeted the Scorpio directly. However, Scorpio was a hit because of its image and 7-seat configuration. Duster also targeted Ford Ecosport because the top-variant was more loaded than the Duster. The 7-Seater Renault Duster will surely come to India despite the fantastic Lodgy which does the job even better failed to succeed.

The 7-Seater Renault Duster will be cosmetically the same from the front till the rear door. Post that, there will be change a substantial change to the D-pillar. Tailgate and taillights will be different and likely to get LED’s. The Interior is also likely to remain the same and we hope the quirky-ness and awkward placement of switches go. Since it’s not a new generation model from the ground up, we don’t expect it to happen, Period. Alloy wheels are new and the overall stance of the 7-Seater Renault Duster remains near identical. Rest details remain a mystery as the 7-Seater Renault Duster is heavily camouflaged.
Mechanically too, the 7-Seater Renault Duster should remain identical. Internationally, the 7-Seater Renault Duster will get 1.6l petrol and 1.5 diesel and In India , it will get the same 1.5 K9K diesel, which will have 85 PS and 110 PS – Two states of tune. The new facelift model is expected to come with an either an AMT automatic gearbox or a dual clutch unit which Renault has worldwide.
Expected that the 7-Seater Renault Duster to come at the Auto Expo 2016 to show its face and after that, launch will happen later that year or early 2017. The competition will have a tough time as Indians love 7-Seat and a compact SUV – BOTH!
