Jeep has released a teaser image of its facelifted Renegade officially ahead of its global premiere tomorrow at the Turin Motor Show. The Renegade is an internationally popular model for the Jeep model and it will enter European market before anywhere else. First thing is first: The global facelift holds all the importance for India as it is expected to be the same version arriving next year at our shores.
It will definitely sit between the Compass and the recently confirmed sub-four-metre SUV as Jeep aims at successful segments to build its growth in India. A third-row premium UV is also heading towards us in the near future as FCA leverages the growing craze for SUVs and crossovers with the American brand across the globe.

The upcoming Jeep Renegade will rival against Hyundai Creta, Mahindra Scorpio and Renault Duster and will likely be priced aggressively courtesy of high level of local content. The teaser image shows what we already know of the facelifted Renegade, courtesy of the latest spy pictures. It gets an updated lighting unit up front and rear while keeping evolutionary approach to the overall design.
The white reflector has been replaced with a red unit with LED lighting and the updated front fascia gets revised seven slat grille as well. The new Renegade will also gain a new family of engines with the 1.0-litre motor making 120 bhp and 1.3-litre petrol mill developing 150 bhp or 180 bhp.

With manufacturers stepping away from diesel engines, it is yet unsure whether the new Renegade will feature one but we can expect it to get plug-in hybrid and electric versions eventually.
