Renault Duster is all set to fight competition from upcoming Hyundai Creta and Maruti S-Cross
The Renault Duster started a new segment and now when the competition is all time high, 2016 Renault Duster has been Unveiled in Russia. The Renault Duster gets a host of changes inside outside but isn’t a revolutionary design by any chance. The changes are evolutionary and focus on making things better because the Renault Duster is already well acclaimed by the Indian public. Renault Duster has a redesigned front end with new bumper, headlight, grill. The Duster has been given a more butch appeal at the front.
Rear remains identical when it comes to sheet metal changes and the tail-lights remain identical in shape, but in the inside of the glass there are changes in design and hints toward LED bulbs being used. Side profile also remains the same with the same quirky design of the glass area.
Coming to the interior, it has seen a substantial change. Dashboard has some minute changes but the center console is all new. Console starts from the very top housing two AC vents and in the middle gets touch screen unit. Steering wheel has seen slight change in design and the buttons on dashboard remain the same when it comes to positioning and looks.
The instrument cluster is tweaked too for better back-lit illumination. Renault says that they have improved insulation inside the cabin. Features list has increased slightly which should please the customers here in India. Rear-view camera, heated windshield and cruise control are other options included.
Engines should remain for the same for India. With the 1.6l petrol being offered along with 1.5 diesel in two states of tune which is the 85 BHP and 110 BHP. At the time of launch, AWD Renault Duster will be available, which makes it more of an SUV for people who are looking for off-roading as well. Alloy wheel seen in the pictures may also make it to India to give a refreshed look. 2016 Renault Duster should make it to India by late 2016.
