Hyundai Venue will go on sale on May 21 in the domestic market and it will be offered with three engine options
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) spectacularly unveiled the Venue sub-four-metre SUV on a cruise liner between Mumbai and Goa and the event also saw the technical specifications of the model coming to light. The five-seater that made global debut at the 2019 NY Auto Show concurrently will be offered in three engine choices: a 1.0-litre T-GDI Kappa petrol, a 1.2-litre MPI petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel.
The 1.0-litre turbocharged powertrain is good enough to develop a maximum power output of 120 PS and 172 Nm of peak torque. It is connected to a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission or a manual. The all-new engine is making its debut in the Hyundai lineup with the Venue while the seven-step DCT is a segment-first feature.
Hyundai claims the DCT has less torque transfer interruption while shifting. The Venue has best-in-class standard 3 years/unlimited km warranty with 3 years roadside assistance. By integrating the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head, Hyundai says it has improved the fuel economy at higher rpm ranges in the smaller petrol engine.

The South Korean auto major will not sell the Venue with an automatic transmission in the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engine options as they are only reserved with five-speed manual and six-speed manual units respectively. The Venue is built on 69 per cent advanced high strength and high strength steel construction with prominent static and dynamic stiffness.
The Venue measures 3,995 mm long, 1,770 mm wide and stands 1,590 mm tall with 2,500 mm wheelbase. The SUV will get main features like electric sunroof, wireless charger, air purifier, projector fog lamps, cruise control, six airbags, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, Brake Assist System, rear air conditioning vents, cooled glovebox, cornering lamps, HD display screen, etc.
The key highlight of the Venue is the Blue Link connectivity with embedded Vodafone-Idea eSIM card and cloud-based voice recognition from Global AI company. The Blue Link has 33 features with 10 exclusively created for India and the service is complimentary for the first three years and can be renewed later on. It deals with safety, convenience and vehicle management systems.
