Hyundai Reveals Creta Diamond Edition With Sunroof

The already feature-rich Hyundai Creta gets new features and looks much more attractive than the stock version

Hyundai Motor Company has revealed a special edition of the Creta in the ongoing Sao Paulo Motor show in Brazil. Named as the Diamond Edition, the popular SUV gets a host of features and exterior changes. The Hyundai CretaDiamond Edition is a concept vehicle and is not for sale.

However, Hyundai may offer the updates and upgrades seen in the Diamond Edition as official accessories and modifications. The vehicle is based on the top-end trim of the Creta, which is known as Prestige in the Brazilian market. The new additions in the Hyundai Creta includes a new smoked headlamp unit and new LED tail lamps with new LED elements.

The compact SUV also gets a new panoramic sunroof that opens quite wide. Hyundai has put new machine cut 19-inch Diamond Cut alloy wheels in the Creta with low profile tyres. It adds a very aggressive stance to the vehicle. The exterior changes the limited to these few updates.

On the inside, the Hyundai Diamond Edition gets new quilted leather upholstery in three different colours. Even the door trims get new trims and the dashboard gets updated to a new dual-tone colour. The touchscreen based infotainment system in the Creta gets updated too and it now gets a much bigger 7.0-inch infotainment screen.

There is a rear seat entertainment system too that consists of two 10-inch screens. The passengers in the rear seats can enjoy media from various sources like DVD, HDMI, USB and live internet streaming. The sound system has been upgraded to a new 750 Watts surround system from JBL. It gets three amplifiers, six speakers and subwoofer that truly upgrades the whole multimedia experience.

The vehicle gets powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates a maximum of 156 Bhp and gets a 6-speed automatic transmission that is available with the Hyundai Tucson in India. Hyundai has not officially revealed if the vehicle will be available as shown in the market. However, the Korean automotive giant has hinted that most of the upgrades seen in the Diamond Edition would be available as accessories to upgrade the lower variants.
