Hyundai officially revealed Lafesta fastback at the Beijing International Motor Show. The Lafesta is based on Elantra but it is longer and wider than the model it is based on. The name Lafesta which translate to “Festival” in Italian and it is an exclusive product for Chinese market as of now.
The design of Lafesta is really attractive and it is based on Hyundai’s new Sensuous Sportiness theme. Hyundai took inspirations from Le Fil Rouge concept which made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show last month. But Le Fil Rouge concept is a premium sedan while the Lafesta is going to be placed between Elantra and Sonata in Hyundai’s lineup.

The rear continues the sporty theme with LED tail lamps and a small LED strip between them. Hyundai has given dual exhaust pipes along with lip spoiler at rear. The Korean manufacturer hasn’t revealed the interior yet but the company said that the sporty styling continues to the interior also.

The power is sent to front wheels via 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. We can expect the suspension to be tuned towards sporty handling. Hyundai will launch Lafesta later this year in China and they are targeting young customers. The Korean manufacturer will reveal more details of Lafesta close to the launch.
