The official bookings for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 will begin on December 20, 2022 in India ahead of its market launch

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has today released a press statement announcing that the bookings for the Ioniq 5 will commence locally on December 20, 2022. The second largest car producer in the country has also released some of the feature details of the highly popular global electric vehicle, which is the 2022 World Car Of The Year.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the first vehicle based on the dedicated E-GMP skateboard platform. The brand has used eco-processed leather, paperette from HPDE, recycled bottles that are turned to fabric, flowers turned to paint, and plants turned to components for headlining and carpets to emphasise the eco-friendliness of the Ioniq 5.

One of the unique features of the zero-emission vehicle is the magnetic dashboard that can be used to hang your memorable bits and pieces. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 rides on a set of appealing futuristic 20-inch alloy wheels based on the parametric pixel design as you could see a lot of peculiar details can be noted when viewed close up.

It is equipped with a full glass panel without any centre partition, providing a greater sense of openness while the Parametric Pixel LED headlamps reflect the brand’s new design identity and a large drawer-type glovebox further enhances usability and convenience. Hyundai has used bio paint on surfaces such as crash pad, switches, steering wheel and door panels.

The eco-processed leather used in Ioniq 5’s cabin is dyed using flaxseed oil. The headlining and carpet fabric includes bio components extracted from sugarcane and corn while the eco-friendly fabric is created using up to 32 plastic bottles that are shredded into plastic chips.
