Customers need to enter card details first time and it will be saved on infotainment system, then they can pay fuel bill or book parking space or order food online all from the car
Technology is moving at a rapid pace as companies are working on new features which help us to live a better life. We can already pay our bills or anything using our smartphone which gives lots of convenience as we don’t have take out the cards or even if your forgot to take them, the smartphone will save you for sure.
If you are able to do the same thing from your cars that will be even more better. Hyundai partnered with Xevo as they are developing in car payments. The feature is not yet available for mass market as it is right now in concept form but Hyundai demonstrated this feature on the latest video they released on Youtube yesterday.
The customer needs to enter card details first time and it will be saved on the infotainment system, then you can pay your fuel bill or book parking space or order food online all from your car. But the process is not easy as it is in its first generation and we know that things will improve down the line like most of these systems.
Hyundai is working with partners to make this process easy. If you want to pay your fuel bill, then you have to open my Hyundai app on infotainment system then select fuel and gas station they are at the moment. Then the customer needs to click on pay button and enter pump number followed by a three digit activation code to complete the process. Just using your credit/debit card will be much easier than this.
Then ordering food is also a similar process and the company has partnered with Applebee’s as they will delivers food to your car. The company is also working towards making all the payments of your car from the infotainment itself. We can expect Hyundai to officially introduce this feature later this year or next year with lot more partnerships with other companies to make it useful for customers.
