Hyundai’s stylish 2024 i20 is getting a makeover soon. Expect sleek design, restyled interiors, and impressive features with the upcoming update.

Hold onto your seats, because the revamped 2024 Hyundai i20 is coming to town! Hyundai is working hard to hype up its updated premium hatchback, with exciting teasers of its new look. While they’re keeping the launch date a secret for now, we’ve got the inside scoop on what to expect.

The i20 is getting a fashion-forward facelift, and it’s not holding back. Up front, it’s flaunting slender LED headlights with snazzy integrated daytime running lights, with a larger grille in the centre. The bumper got a makeover too, sporting sharper lines that scream sophistication. The rear end will also be dolled up, with updated LED taillights. The i20 will strut its stuff on new dual-tone wheels that are sharper than the current model.

Step inside the i20, and you’ll be greeted with swanky updates. The teasers show new dual-tone seat upholstery, which looks great. We expect the hatchback to get additional features, including a dashcam, ventilated seats, rain-sensing wipers, and more. It will also have impressive standard safety equipment onboard, like 6 airbags, ESC, VSM, ESS, etc. However, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) won’t be offered here.

Hyundai i20 N-Line will also get similar changes, but we expect it to launch a little while later. The performance version of this premium hatchback could get a different body kit as well, to keep things exciting. Apart from that, we also expect the manufacturer to introduce new exterior paint options.

Under the hood, Hyundai is keeping things familiar. The trusty 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol mill are expected to return. The base model will likely come with a five-speed manual transmission. If you’re all about options, you can go for a CVT or a DCT. Sadly, the diesel variants had been shelved after the BS6 Phase 2 emission norms update.

With all these shiny updates, expect the i20 to ask for a little more dough. The current model ranges from Rs. 7.46 lakh to Rs. 11.88 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). As stated previously, Hyundai is also cooking up a facelift for the i20 N Line variant, starting at Rs. 10.18 lakh and going up to Rs. 12.31 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The facelifted versions would be only slightly more expensive, thus maintaining the i20’s value-for-money edge in the segment.
