Hyundai Grand i10 offer accounts for a total benefit of Rs. 75,000 on petrol Magna trim and is applicable across all diesel variants
Hyundai has the Grand i10 on top of its sales charts more often ever since it broke into the market in September 2013. The direct nemesis of Maruti Suzuki Swift has received a positive nod among customers due to its packed features list and the economical powertrain lineup. Manufacturers tend to lure in buyers with attractive offers ahead of the festive season as the sales will surge by multiple folds.
And with good active monsoon across the length and breadth of the country, the companies find themselves in a competitive environment yet again as the footfall numbers and enquiries would generally mount to the peak during these times, and even the successful models would have to be offered with enticing discounts for a certain longevity.
Hyundai’s Grand i10 is one of them as it gains Rs. 50,000 cash discount, along with exchange/loyalty of Rs. 20,000 and corporate offer of Rs. 5,000. Summing up, the Rs. 75,000 total discount accounts to all diesel variants. Sold in a total of 12 trims, the Grand i10 gets Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta grades in both petrol and diesel engine options.
The Grand i10 derives power from the 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine that is also used in the Elite i20. It develops 81 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 4,000 rpm and is mated to a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels. The 1.2-litre U2 CRDi three-cylinder diesel engine produces 74 bhp of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm peak torque delivered at 1,750 rpm.
It has a five-speed manual gearbox as the only transmission choice. The manual and automatic petrol models return 19.77 kmpl and 17.49 kmpl respectively, while the diesel manual is ARAI certified to have a fuel economy of 24.95 kmpl.
The interior features black and beige theme with top-end trims having a seven-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, rear AC vents, adjustable rear headrests and climate control. Driver side airbag is standard and the higher grades get dual front airbags.
