Hyundai Offers Grand i10, Elite i20 and Xcent With ABS And EBD Across Variants

As part of Road Safety week between April 23 and April 30, the company will offer 20 point safety check up for its products along with service and sales camps at residence associations

In the recent years, safety is one of the most important buying criterias for buyers as these features will help customers during an accident. Now Hyundai has announced that ABS and EBD will be standard on all variants of Elite i20 while Sportz and Asta variants of Grand i10 get this feature and SX and SX (O) variant of Xcent.

Hyundai is still not offering EBD on Era and Magna variants of Grand i10 and E and S variants of Xcent. Till now, Hyundai was offering only ABS as standard feature while EBD was missing. But expensive models like Verna, Creta and Tucson get ABS, EBD and dual airbags as standard.

Hyundai is already offering dual airbag as standard on expensive model and driver side airbag on budget models. But the manufacturer should have offered ABS and dual airbags as standard across on all models as most of the manufacturers are doing it. The Korean manufacturer is also focuses on increasing safety awareness for public.

Hyundai Grand i10 received a facelift last year to be inline with design of new generation models. Along with design updates, Hyundai have added some features like touch screen infotainment system and climate control.

2017 Hyundai Xcent

Hyundai Grand i10 is available in both petrol and diesel engine. The petrol engine is 1.2 L Kappa series engine producing 81 hp of power and 114 Nm of torque. The 1.2 L 3 cylinder diesel engine produces 74 hp of power and 190 Nm of torque. These engines are mated to 5 speed manual and automatic gearbox available only with petrol engine.

The diesel model returns 24.95 Kmpl, 19.77 kmpl for petrol and 17.49 kmpl for automatic. Hyundai Grand i10 compete head on against Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo, Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Toyota Etios Liva.
