HMIL opens India’s first Hyundai digital experience sales outlet featuring digital screens and artworks to cater an upmarket ambiance for customers
We had an exclusive chat with Hyundai Motors’ GM (Marketing) & Group Head, Puneet Anand, published recently. He explained, “Now, we are moving towards digital showrooms as well and very soon, you will hear something big from us for digital technology.”
Not quite this soon we expected to hear something big from Hyundai, however, as the second biggest car manufacturer in the country has announced a new initiate through which it hopes to re-invent the perception of car buying and offer modern customers with a digitized showroom experience.
The South Korean car maker has brought the first-ever Hyundai Digital Experience Sales Outlet in country christened as ‘Unity Hyundai’. The new showrooms are in reaction to the growing band of Nexa dealerships founded by Maruti Suzuki last July to avail customers premium buying experience with a white-and-black monochrome theme. The Indo-Japanese company is planning to expand Nexa network to 250 outlets by next year.
The rivalling Unity Hyundai digital experience outlet lives by the brand’s “New Thinking, New Possibility” catchword and will set the bars up high for modern shoppers. It will be featured with digital screens and artworks to cater an upmarket ambiance for the customers of the largest exporter of passenger cars in the nation.
The customer-focussed approach will allow them to explore the Hyundai’s model portfolio, conduct test drives on their preferred cars, exchange old cars in place of a new Hyundai model with several financial schemes on offer or through direct payment of cash.
Hyundai employs well trained staff and highly skillful sales executives to bring home the experience right to the buyer. Unlike Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai is already an upmarket auto maker whose presence can be felt from the entry-level segments with the Eon, i10, Grand i10, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent along with premium offerings such as Verna, Creta, Elantra and Santa Fe.
HMIL will be striding to expand its rural and semi-urban base as 320 Rural Sales Outlet are ready to serve customers. Besides that, the company is planning to set up 20-25 3S dealerships during this financial year.
