The Tata Tiago-based Tata Tigor sub-4-metre compact sedan is available with discounts and offers worth Upto Rs 73,000

Tata Motors, one of the most popular carmakers in India, is offering some attractive discounts and offers on the Tata Tigor, the sub-4-metre compact sedan derivative of the Tata Tiago hatchback. The stylish sedan is available with discounts up to Rs 73,000. However, the offer is valid for next two days only in Delhi NCR. Hence, all those in the market for a well priced small sedan can rush to the authorized dealerships to purchase this model.

The discounts on the Tata Tigor comprise of the following offers – Rs 20,000 in exchange bonus on selling your old car to Tata Motors, free insurance worth Rs 33,000, corporate discount of upto Rs. 5000 and some other benefits of upto Rs.15,000. Currently, the starting price of the Tata Tigor is Rs 5.06 lakh.

The Tata Tigor is available in two engine variants – 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.05-litre diesel. The petrol motor produces a maximum power of 84 bhp and a peak torque of 114 Nm. It is available with a five-speed manual transmission and gets Multi-Drive models, including Eco and City.

The diesel engine of the Tata Tigor produces a maximum power of 69 bhp and a peak torque of 140 Nm. It comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. These are the same engines that power the Tigor but have been re-tuned to make up for the additional weight of the sub-4-metre sedan.

It may be noted here that Tata Motors became the first manufacturer to come up with a sub-4-metre sedan in the form of the Indigo CS. Having an overall length of less than 4-metres and an engine size of less than 1.2-litres for petrol and 1.5-litres for diesel leads to a lower excise duty. With the Tata Tigor, the famous Indian auto giant enjoys similar benefits.

The Tata Tigor is the third attempt from Tata Motors at cracking the sub-4-metre sedan market. After the Indica-based Indigo CS, the company also launched the Zest, which never sold in good numbers. The Tigor benefits from an attractive design, sufficiently spacious cabin, and a frugal set of engines. With great discounts available at the moment, it makes terrific sense to put your money on this sub-4-metre sedan.
