Skoda Superb Sportline costs Rs. 3 lakh cheaper than what it used to be when it went on sale last year
Skoda’s India division introduced the Sportline variant of the Superb last year and it is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. It does not sit at the top-of-the-range but in the middle below the Lauren & Klement. It comes equipped with several cosmetic updates to distinguish itself from the regular model.
The Sportline was launched with a starting price of Rs. 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). With three lakh price drop, it currently costs Rs. 25.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and through Skoda EasyBuy, the EMI for the Sportline starts at Rs. 43,999 with up to 100 per cent finance and 57 per cent assured buyback.
On the outside, the Skoda Superb Sportline features a brand new red colour scheme and it can also be had in grey and white paint jobs as well. The front grille, outside rearview mirrors, boot spoiler and side skirts are all finished in a glossy black. Matching the glossy black trim, the headlights and fog lamps are done up in black.
Elsewhere, the 17-inch two-tone wheels with a dark finish add to the glamour of the Superb Sportline. The interior gets a black finish wi18th red accents complementing the sporty cabin while the powered front seats have memory function too. The seats have Alcantara inserts as well while the LED ambient lighting, subtle carbon fibre trim, sporty flat-bottom steering wheel, panoramic sunroof and aluminium pedals are other key features.
At the centre of the action, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity alongside MirrorLink and triple-zone automatic climate control system. The Skoda Superb Sportline is powered by the standard powertrains: a 1.8-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel.
The former produces 180 horsepower and 250 Nm and is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch auto while the 2.0-litre turbo diesel kicks out 177 horsepower and 350 Nm and is mated to a six-speed DCT. Some of the highlighting safety features are eight airbags, ABS, ESC, EBD, Hill Brake Assist, Hill Hold Control, Traction Control, reverse parking camera and so on.
