How Fast Can Mahindra Inferno (XUV700) Go? Top Speed Revealed In New Video!

Mahindra To Likely Launch Rexton G4 As 'Mahindra Inferno SUV', Spied Again 1

Mahindra’s upcoming flagship product Inferno (XUV700) will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine making 187 hp and 420 Nm peak torque

Mahindra’s flagship SUV – the Inferno – has been spied numerous times on the Indian roads lately. Mahindra announced that the vehicle will be officially launched on 19th November in India. Before that, the full-sized SUV has been caught testing again on the roads and this time, it has been seen doing some explosive speed!

The video recorded by a YouTuber shows the Mahindra SUV being shot from Tata Hexa in the Karnataka highway. There is no camouflage on the vehicle except for the small sticker that hides the Mahindra logo at front. The video shows the Mahindra Inferno taking sharp turns on the highway.

It also shows how the SUV changes lanes on high-speed, which shows the under-control body roll of the vehicle. The video has been taken from a Tata Hexa and both the vehicles have been seen speeding through the traffic.

While the Hexa keeps on chasing the upcoming SUV, the Inferno sped away on certain occasions. At one point, the Inferno crosses 170 kmph mark, which shows how quick the vehicle will be. The Mahindra Inferno will be the most expensive product from the brand in India.

It will be a rebadged version of the SsangYong Rexton G4 that has received good appreciation in global markets. Mahindra will price the product very competitively in the market to rival Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Isuzu MU-X, and the price is expected to start from around Rs. 22 lakh.

The full-size three-row 7-seater SUV from the brand will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine. It is the same engine that powers the SsangYong Rexton in the international markets and not the engine that powers the Mahindra XUV 500 in India. The engine produces a maximum of 187 Bhp and 420 Nm and gets an automatic transmission supplied by Mercedes-Benz.
