To showcases its automotive technology and prowess Japanese automaker Honda has showcased its Clarity Fuel Cell Vehicle including Accord Hybrid Based Autonomous Car at the G7 Summit which took place in the country’s Ise-Shima region from 26th May to 27th May, 2016. The Honda Clarity FCV was already created quite hype in the world of automotive arena. Earlier this year the Japanese automaker started selling the car in Japan and about to begin in several other countries around the world in near future.
At the Japan PR Exhibition within the International Media Centre of the G7 Summit Honda showcased the hydrogen powered Clarity FCV and a Honda Accord Hybrid based autonomous vehicle as well. By displaying these cars alongside the UNI-CUB personal mobility device, MC-B micro electric vehicle, Honda walking assist device, smart community vision etc the Japanese automaker tried to display their hi-tech innovations to the world. It was also a plan of Japan government to promote the country’s innovations to the world.
The Honda has a futuristic ambition to promote autonomous driving to an all new dimension by the end of this decade. The Clarity Fuel Cell Vehicle is surely a big step toward the goal. The car is a stylish sedan which comes powered by hydrogen fuel cells and a lithium-ion battery. The car produces 174 hp of peak power, which 22 hp higher than the Toyota Mirai. The Honda Clarity Fuel Cell Vehicle comes with a cruising range of 750 kilometers.
In Japan the Honda Clarity Fuel Cell Vehicle is available at a price tag of 7660000 Yen. The Japanese automaker will commence selling the unique car in US later in 2016. The US specific Honda Clarity FCV will offer a cruising range of 480 kilometers and price tag would be around $60000. Honda has plan to sell the car in Europe as well, by the end of next year albeit.
