Honda Shine 100 derives power from a new 100 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine; production to commence next month in India

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has today hosted the launch of its new entry-level motorcycle, dubbed the Shine 100. The Shine series has been one of the most successful offerings from the Japanese brand since 2006 with a customer base of over 1.15 crore. Building on the momentum created, the Shine 100 comes at an introductory starting price of Rs. 64,900 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The Honda Shine 100 competes squarely against Hero Splendor and Bajaj CT110. The production of the commuter motorcycle will commence next month in India and its official bookings are open from today. The Shine 100 will reach Honda dealerships across the country in May 2023 and the deliveries will begin soon after.

It is underpinned by a familiar diamond frame as the Shine 125 and takes plenty of design inspiration from its bigger sibling. Honda says it has made 12 new patent applications with the new motorcycle and it will be made available in a total of five colour schemes namely black with red, black with grey, black with blue, black with green and black with yellow.
