Honda NSX new pictures reveal plenty of details as Europe gets ready for the car
Honda is all set to begin the deliveries of Honda NSX in Europe this fall. The fresh design is an evolutionary change where the dimensions of the car have been increased as compared to its predecessor. The car made its debut last year during the Detroit Auto Show as Acura. Since the debut, NSX has been seen around at quite a few places, including at Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
The supercar is loaded with technology and features like active sound control as well as intuitive steering. Along with this, the new Honda NSX gets the Japanese manufacturer’s Connect 7.0-inch touchscreen along with dual zone climate control with humidity control and air filtration system. There is also leather and Alcantara trims for the cabin. The new NSX features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity with audio system.
There is also a sports hybrid system for the upcoming Honda NSX where the sportscar will feature a twin-turbo V6 along with three electric motors. This mill can deliver up to 537 bhp while the maximum torque it can produce is around 686 Nm.
The engine of this trim will be mated with a nine-speed dual clutch automatic transmission which will further allow the car to go up to 100 kmph from standstill in less than 3 seconds. The top speed of Honda NSX Sports Hybrid is expected to be around 308 kmph while the official fuel consumption figures say that it should be able to do 100 km in about 10.3 litres.
The Honda NSX follows what is dubbed as the total airflow management concept by Honda. Here the goal for those working aerodynamics along with designs is to optimise downforce while reducing drag and maximising cooling.
This will help get rid of excess heat developed. The company is proud of the fact that this has been achieved without using active spoilers or flaps but by producing downforce via integrating rear car spoiler and diffuser.
