Honda Jazz gets dual airbags as standard on all variants; both E and S variants get Rs. 12,000 price hike resultantly

Honda Jazz gets dual front airbags as standard across all grades. Earlier the dual front airbags were offered as standard features, only on the V, SV and VX variants. But now, base variants like E and S variants too come with enhanced safety. Also, Honda has increased the pricing of both these variants by Rs. 12,000.

After the price hike, the premium hatchback is now priced between Rs. 5.81 lakh and Rs. 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). With the new pricing introduced, the Honda Jazz E MT variant costs Rs. 5.81 lakh for petrol and Rs. 7.11 lakh for diesel models. The S MT variant is now priced at Rs. 6.44 lakh and Rs. 7.80 lakh for petrol and diesel powered models respectively.

Apart from dual front airbags, the Honda Jazz E MT petrol comes with other safety features like seatbelt warning, engine immobilizer and child safety lock. On the other hand, the Jazz S MT petrol also comes with same features. Talking about the diesel front, Jazz E MT gets ABS as extra, while the S MT diesel is equipped with ABS and EBD along with the aforementioned features.

Honda Jazz is a stylish looking premium hatchback. The Japanese automaker launched new Jazz in July, 2015 with an eye-catching styling. It looks sportier than before with the tweaked design. The interior of the car has been designed on ‘Sophisticated Futuristic Concept’.

Honda Jazz takes power from a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine options. The petrol engine is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT, while the diesel engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission only. The petrol engine kicks out 90 PS of peak power and 100 Nm of peak torque, while diesel unit is capable to produce 100 PS of peak power and 200 Nm of peak torque.
