Honda Freed has become a pretty popular MPV in Japan and Indonesian market. The car Honda Jazz premium hatchback based MPV is all set to receive a new version. The 2017 Honda Freed’s patent sketches have been leaked online, and it looks pretty stylish in its upcoming avatar. Before the launch of the car in Japan in September, 2016 these images give us the preview of the model.
The next generation of Honda Freed receives little design tweaks which make it appealing compare to the outgoing model. The front grille becomes larger with chrome garnished horizontal slats and complemented by a thick bar housing the Honda logo. The wrap around headlamp clusters have been trimmed and looks much sharper.
The LED daytime running lights integrated to the clusters enhance the appeal of the car. The front bumper has been revised as well, and it sports more aggressive look than the old model. The side profile looks more stylish with the new cuts and creases. The upcoming Honda Freed will adorn new set of alloy wheels with blade like design. The wing mirrors also come trimmed, and the side turning indicator integrated to them have become sleeker.
The rear profile boasts wrap around combination taillights, tweaked registration enclosure and revised bumper. Overall, the next generation Honda Freed retains the basic shape of the outgoing model, but with subtle changes making it sharper and appealing.

The changes have been continued inside the cabin of the MPV as well. Although still under the cover, but expect the cabin to sport more modern elements derived from its siblings. It can be assumed that the new generation Honda Jazz, Honda City’s design cues will be used inside the cabin of 2017 Honda Freed.
The outgoing Honda Freed gets a 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol engine under the hood which would be retained in the upcoming model as well. While the hybrid powertrain would get a 7 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox from Honda HR-V. Pricing would be higher for the car than the present model.
