Honda HR-V has minimal cabin noise and is one the first models to come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANS)

Honda officially revealed HR-V facelift at 2018 Chendgu Motor Show and the global debut took place earlier this year. The new model doesn’t get drastic changes as it is popular among customers. The Honda HR-V facelift gets new chrome finished front grille and LED headlamps with updated DRLs.

Honda has given a new design for 17-inch alloy wheels. The rear gets new LED tail lamps and an updated bumper, which rounds of exterior changes. The compact SUV continues the same interior design theme as the previous model and the front seats get a new design.

The touchscreen infotainment system gets an update as it comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity options along with Bluetooth and USB. The HR-V also comes with Active Noise Cancellation (ANS) and the company has added extra sound absorbing materials in front and rear door panels, wheel arches and boot structure.

The Japanese manufacturer has improved the quality of materials inside the cabin and HR-V gets the option of leather upholstery. Honda has given lots of features for HR-V like 4G LTE in-car Wi-Fi, rear entertainment system with video streaming function, CabinTalk in-car PA system, keyless entry, push-button start, cruise control, automatic headlamps, reverse camera with parking sensors, sunroof and more.

Honda has also focused on improving the safety of HR-V as the new model comes with Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist, Collision Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, six airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control system and more. The HR-V is powered by a 1.8 L i-VTEC engine producing 141 PS of power and 172 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to CVT automatic gearbox.

The company is also offering four-wheel drive system with HR-V and the system has been configured to provide traction on slippery surfaces. In Europe, Honda also offers a new 1.5 L i-VTEC turbocharged petrol engine, but it is not available in the Chinese market. The HR-V will make its India debut next year.
