Honda is certainly the biggest brand in Indian two-wheeler market when it comes to scooter segment. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer rolled out its latest automatic scooter Grazia in the domestic market on November 8, 2017. It is called as ‘latest advanced urban sensation’ with price starting at Rs. 58,133 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Booking for the Honda Grazia scooter are taken for Rs. 2,000 at all the authorised dealerships across the country.

In its very first month in the market, 17,047 units were retailed without hampering the Activa’s dominance and carrying the momentum its sales has romped to 50,000 units in just two and half months as Honda has officially revealed. It claims the Grazia scooter has been tailor-made for the young urban buyers and with this model it hopes to increase its market share significantly. Honda currently has the biggest scooter range on offer in the country and with arrival of the Grazia, it has become much stronger in sales.

It is the fourth launch from the brand following Cliq entry-level scooter, Africa Twin and the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade and certainly the most important considering itsa volume aspiration and market positioning. As the two-wheeler manufacturer says, the Grazia scooter comes with excitingly sharp design, advanced technologies and industry first innovative features. Also, it boasts with high build quality, expected trademark reliability, comfort and convenience for the riders.

The scooter market has been growing pretty fast in the country for last few years and the Activa range played crucial role not only in enhancing that growth but also giving Honda a much stronger place in the highly competitive Indian market. The SI engine makes a maximum power of 8.6 bhp at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.54 Nm at 5,000 rpm. It is mated to a variable-controlled automatic transmission. The power and torque figures remain the same as the Activa while the kerb weight could be lesser with improved riding dynamics.

The brand new Honda Grazia could play a big role in the company’s aim of becoming the leading two-wheeler maker in the country by the end of this decade.

It measures 1,812 mm in length, 697 mm in breadth and 1,146 mm in height with a wheelbase of 1,260 mm. It comprises of front telescopic and spring loaded hydraulic tyre rear unit and runs on 90/90-12 front and 90/100-10 tubeless tyres. It can be had in either 130 mm drum or 190 mm front disc specification with CBS system at the rear.
