Honda recently unveiled its mid-size SUV for the Indian market, the Elevate. It boasts of the largest boot space of 458 litre in the segment

The Honda Elevate was recently revealed in the Indian market. The launch of the brand’s debutant offering for the mid-size SUV segment is scheduled for the festive season this year, while the bookings are set to begin from next month i.e. July 2023.

As the segment which Elevate is aiming for is highly competitive, the SUV has a lot going for it, like the boot space which is the largest in the segment at 458 litre. The practical usage of such a huge boot in real-life conditions is a debatable topic, it is definitely an added plus when we are looking to buy a new vehicle, especially an SUV.

Now, taking a quick look at the table reveals that the Honda Elevate outruns its competitors in the boot space department by a respectable margin. It is followed by the MG Astor and the Korean siblings, the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. In addition to this, the SUV also sports the highest ground clearance of 220 mm in this segment.

In the official images available on the company’s website, the massive 458 litres of boot space is clearly visible, housing two full-size luggage bags along with two medium size bags and a basketball. The boot floor is completely flat, housing the spare wheel and tool set compartment underneath.

However, there are two prominent humps on both sides, which can hinder the overall luggage-carrying capacity of the Elevate SUV. In addition to this, the loading lip is decent in terms of size. The exact practicality of this 458-litre boot space of the Honda’s latest car can only be known once we get to drive and experience it in real life.
