Honda CBR650F to launch in July, Spied testing at BIC


Honda CBR650F to target the premium motorcycle buyers in India

If you cannot beat Honda City as one of the best selling sedan in the country, you cannot beat Honda in its growing middleweight performance segment as well. The Japanese automaker is all set to launch its sports bike, the Honda CBR650F by July in the country. Ahead of its launch, the Honda CBR650F was spied doing the laps of the Buddh International Circuit moreover for an high speed road test.


Boosting of its aggressive looks, the Honda CBR650F comes with a simple front fascia offering a single headlight cluster. Its side profile is accentuated by the fairing and fuel tank design. With offering a comfortable riding position by balancing between he upright and sporty, this bike is more of a practical sports bike.


In terms of its powertrain, the Honda CBR650F comes powered by the 649cc, in-line, four-cylinder mill churning out 86 HP and 63 NM of torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This bike is capable of sprinting from 0-100 m/hr in mere 4 seconds with the limited top speed of 225 km/hr. While the bike runs on the 120 and 180 section tyres along its front and rear respectively, it comes with standard safety feature like ABS.


Being offered in the market via a CKD route, the Honda CBR650F holds lot of importance in the company’s portfolio as it will be company’s first CKD assembled performance bike and to start with, will be 5% locally sourced.

In order to make it attracted to the niche class, the company is in no plans to keep it competitively priced but to price it at Rs.8 lakhs (Ex-showroom). Lets wait and watch for the bike to hit the roads to rock on it.
