Honda Cars India sold a record 100,000 Amaze in just 13 months and has launched a limited-run Ace Edition with cosmetic changes

Honda is celebrating the success of selling 1 Lakh Amaze compact sedans in India with the launch of a new special Ace Edition of the Amaze compact sedan. The compact sedan that was first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018 in its new avatar has completed the 1 Lakh sales figure in a record time of 13 months.

The Amaze Ace Edition prices start from Rs 7.89 lakh for the petrol-manual variant and goes up to Rs 9.72 lakh for the diesel-CVT variant. The Amaze Ace Edition is just a cosmetic job and no changes have been made to the mechanicals and it continues to get the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine. As mentioned above, there’s a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox available with both the engines.

Honda has limited the production of the Amaze Ace Edition to just 840 units and is the second special-edition model based on the Amaze. Honda previously launched the Amaze Exclusive Edition based on the sedan’s top-spec manual petrol and diesel models.

The Honda Amaze competes against the best selling compact sedan Maruti Suzuki Dzire along with Ford Aspire, Volkswagen Ameo and Hyundai Xcent in the Indian market.
