Hero Xtreme 200R Deliveries Commence In Phased Manner

We have informed you that Hero MotoCorp has officially revealed prices of its entry-level naked street motorcycle, Xtreme 200R, for the northeast states and deliveries have now indeed commenced to customers in a phased manner as you can see in the pictures.

It is available in West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland and Tripura before gracing showrooms in other parts India. Bookings have begun across the country for Rs. 5,000 already and Hero is expected to reveal prices for other states very soon.

Priced at Rs. 88,000 (ex-showroom) and amidst having lesser performance numbers, the Xtreme 200R is cheaper than the main rivals Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 and TVS Apache RTR 200, while going head-on with their respective 160 cc siblings and making a stronger case for buyers.

The Hero Xtreme 200R is powered by a 199.6 cc single-cylinder two-valve air-cooled engine which is good enough to deliver a maximum power output of 18.1 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 17.1 Nm of peak torque delivered at 6,500 rpm. The powertrain is mated to a five-speed transmission.

The largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country has employed single-channel ABS system as standard fitment with disc brakes on both ends while the instrument cluster is part-digital with analogue tachometer. The exterior is minimalistic and has sharper stance compared to its old 150 cc sibling.
It measures 2,062 mm in length, 778 mm in width and has height of 1,072 mm with 1,336 mm wheelbase.

The ground clearance stands at 165 mm and the fuel tank can hold 12.5 litres. Tipping the weighing scale at 148 kg, the Xtreme 200R runs on MRF tyres with 100-section front and 130-section rear. The Xtreme 200R is built on a diamond-type chassis and comes equipped with 37 mm telescopic front forks with anti-friction bush and seven-step adjustable monoshock rear suspension. It also features chrome plating on exhaust system, LED tail lamp with light guides, LED pilot lamps, rectangular swing arm, sporty ‘Xtreme’ graphics, etc.
