Hero MotoCorp introduces i3S technology to Super Splendor, Achiever 150 and Passion Pro, Launching this month
Hero MotoCorp’s Passion Pro gets the patented i3S technology, and the new Passion Pro has already begun dispatch. The company is all set to start selling the bike during the upcoming festive season, and before that the model is expected to reach showrooms in a few days. The i3S technology comes saving fuel while the bike is standing idle.
Hero MotoCorp earlier introduced the i3S or iSmart technology to the Splendor 100 cc way back in 2014. Later the company introduced the technology in the hero Splendor 110cc, which replaced the 100 cc model few days ago. And now the two wheeler manufacturer is geared up to launch the Super Splendor, Achiever 150 and Passion Pro with the same unique technology.

The Hero Passion Pro has been registering declining sales figure for quite some time, and with the introduction of the i3S technology the model is expected to get a new life. The i3S or iSmart technology is a smart fuel saving technology patented to the Hero MotoCorp. This technology shuts down the engine automatically, while the bike is standing idle, and brings back the engine into life once the clutch is pressed.
The hero MotoCorp is standing tall in the two wheeler segment with the best selling Splendor series, which has been the most popular and best selling motorcycle range in the Indian market for quite long time. Now introducing the new iSmart technology will surely give the company an edge in a highly competitive market.

The Hero passion Pro iSmart comes powered by a 97.20 cc engine mated to a four speed transmission. The engine churns out 8.20 bhp of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. The fuel economy delivered by the model is 84 kmpl. Expect the hero Passion Pro iSmart to come sporting some new colour theme along with the new technology, while any other update is very unlikely.
