Brijmohan Lall Munjal passes away, the founder of Hero Group of companies was at the Max hospital in Delhi before reaching heavens

The world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp’s founder, today passed away at the age of 92. Brijmohan Lall Munjal was not just known for founding Hero MotoCorp. He was firstly known as a committed philanthropist and an institution-builder.

Dr. Lall also led the Hero Group to successfully venture into other areas such as auto ancillary, financial services, renewable energy, education and electronics. All because he was a true visionary and a first generation entrepreneur who had a relentless quest to persevere.

Dr. Brijmohan Lall can be easily credited as one of the most important architects of Indian two-wheeler industry. As we all know Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal was the first visionary entrepreneur responsible for getting India on wheels with his first venture, Hero Cycles. The true legend then took it even further and tied with Honda and made Hero Honda now known as Hero MotoCorp.

Dr. Brijmohan Lall was born in 1923 in un-partitioned Punjab. Recently, in June, Dr. Lall had stepped down from all active roles at Hero MotoCorp. Dr. Brijmohan Lall is and will be known for his humility as he will continue to be an inspiration to everyone within the Hero family and the also the auto industry as a whole.
