Hero Destini 125 has been gaining popularity seemingly every month and it reflects on its sales numbers. The largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country introduced the Destini 125 in October 2018 and it became the first scooter from Hero to be incorporated with i3S start/stop technology helping in saving fuel.

Conceptualised and developed at Hero’s CIT (Centre of Innovation and Technology) in Jaipur, the Destini 125 quickly rose to fame as it entered the top ten selling monthly scooters table in November 2018 with 16,047 units at seventh position. A couple of months later, it started climbing up the order and stood fifth.

The Destini 125 began 2019 auspiciously by crossing 20,000 unit sales for the first time in January 2019. Continued to remain in fifth position, the premium scooter garnered 24,018 units and last month 22,564 units were dispatched. It moved up to fourth in March 2019 and ended up being the second most sold 125 cc scooter in the country behind Suzuki Access.

Offered in two variants, the Hero Destini 125 is priced at Rs. 54,650 for the Lx and Rs. 57,500 for the Vx grade (both prices, ex-showroom). Hero hosted the Indian premiere of the Destini 125 under Duet 125 moniker at the 2018 Auto Expo and it is currently embroiled in a healthy competition against TVS Ntorq and Suzuki Access 125.

It takes power from a 124.6 cc single-cylinder air-cooled Energy Boost engine, which is good enough to pump out a maximum power output of 8.70 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 10.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. It measures 1,809 mm in length, 729 mm in width and stands 1,154 mm in height along with 1,245 mm wheelbase.
