Road rollers look quite impressive with their metal wheels on the roads, and they weight more than 20,000 kg
Road rollers are used to flatten down the newly laid tarmac. They are quite heavy, which helps to ensure that the tarmac is well settled down for longevity. The road rollers ride on metallic wheels that flatten down the tarmac perfectly and makes sure that the hot tarmac does not remain stuck to the wheels of the road rollers.
But what will happen if a road roller gets into an accident with a regular vehicle and gets on top of it? Well, it can become gruesome. Most of us wondered about it whenever we have spotted a road roller flatting down the steaming hot tarmac roads, but this video shows exactly what can happen if a road roller goes over a motorcycle.
This video has been made only for experimental purposes. The motorcycle seen in the video is Hero CBZ Xtreme, and it is in perfect running condition. The rider comes in riding on the bike and places the bike in the front of the roller. The experiment has been done to see what really happens to the bike if such a heavy vehicle goes over it.
The road roller tries to get over the Hero CBZ Xtreme, but because of its metallic wheels, it becomes quite challenging to get a grip on the bike and run over it. Eventually, the road roller gets to go over the motorcycle and crushes it right apart.
The bike gets stuck between the two wheels, but after a few tries, the road roller was able to go over the bike several times. The end result? Yes, it is gruesome, and it is difficult to recognise the motorcycle at all. There are a few hundred pieces of the bike scattered over the road.
We do hope that it does not happen to anyone in real life. Road rollers move quite slowly and are quite difficult to miss because of their vast size and bright colours. So it is highly unlikely that something like this will ever happen on the road, but we now know what exactly can happen if a road roller goes over a motorcycle.
