Rajputana Customs is known for their excellent art of turning a regular bike into something more special. Numero Uno is one of the famous jeans companies in India and they contacted Rajputana Customs to create an one-off model to promote their brand and the result is Numero Uno Café Racer based on Royal Enfield Standard 500.
Like most of their custom models, they completely stripped out the bike to give a new appearance. The headlamp has been retained from stock model but they changed front suspension and given upside down forks from KTM Duke. The handle bar is clip on type and they are placed low along with rear set foot pegs to give sporty riding position for the Café Racer.
The stock fuel tank was replaced with custom hand made unit for perfection, which gives a muscular look for the bike. They have also given single seat and usually leather is used for seats but in this custom bike they used Numero Uno jeans clothing line.
The rear is completely different to the stock bike as Rajputana Customs replaced dual shock at rear and instead given mono shocks to continue the Café Racer theme. To accommodate mono shock, the swingarm was redesigned and further strengthened.
All mechanical parts are finished in black colour, while the body parts in blue colour. The custom shop has added Numero Uno jeans logo in handle bar and fuel tank as the main objective of doing this custom work is to promote the brand. The engine is carried forward from stock bike.
The 499 cc single cylinder engine puts out 26.1 bhp of power at 5,100 rpm and 40.9 Nm of torque at 3,800 rpm. This engine is mated to 5 speed gearbox. Rajputana Customs took three months to complete this project and total cost of modification is Rs. 5 lakh excluding price of donor bike.
