The modified Mahindra XUV500 from Mahindra Customizations is bold and highly luxurious

Mahindra and Mahindra is among the only few car manufacturers in India to offer in-house customization of their vehicles. In fact, the custom vehicles from Mahindra aren’t merely graphics jobs or any sort of minor visual updates. Instead, they carry a much stronger visual identity that make their car look simply too good.

Case in the point here is this modified Mahindra XUV500 from Mahindra Customizations. This modified Mahindra XUV500 is based on the facelift of the company’s second-most expensive SUV after the Ssangyong Rexton-based Alturas. It has been named as the Moonraker by the customizers and comes with a bolder exterior and a lounge-like interior.

While it’s true that the modified Mahindra XUV500 here gets many styling enhancements, it has been made sure that this model looks nothing like anything but a XUV500. The original SUV’s DNA has been retained while giving a more rugged appearance through a set of many new bits.

The front of the modified Mahindra XUV500 has a steel bumper that carries LED lamps. The roof gets dual lamps that make this SUV more appropriate for night time driving. The front grille has been also suitably modified for a bolder appearance. The plastic molding on the lower section of the SUV makes it look more rugged than the original version.

The wheel arch extensions further amplify the rugged touch that is carried by this modified Mahindra XUV500. The new alloy rims are shod in mud-terrain tires that should make it more capable off the road. The customizers say that the Moonraker is extremely comfortable on the loug routes and the revised interior is in accordance with this claim.

The third row of seats of this modified Mahindra XUV500 has been replaced with electrically adjustable seats that are more comfortable. The original upholstery has given way to Nappa leather material. Interior features of this XUV500 include a smart TV, a mini refrigerator, 12V charging ports, USB charging ports, Rolls Royce-inspired roofline, PlayStation 4, live streaming system, and WiFi.

The engine has been kept stock. While prices of this modification aren’t out yet but we guess one would have to shell out quite a premium for this customization.
