
Jeep Grand Cherokee comes cheaper by up to Rs. 18.49 lakh; Wrangler Unlimited gets a price cut of Rs. 7.14 lakh
Jeep has slashed the pricing of its two SUVs on offer in India by up to Rs. 18.49 lakh. The American SUV manufacturer current sells the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler Unlimited in the domestic market and in the revised price list, these two models come much cheaper. The price reduction comes just ahead of the launch of the Jeep Compass, third model from the brand in the Indian market.
The Grand Cherokee is the flagship offering from the brand here and it has received a whopping price reduction ranging between Rs. 5 lakh and Rs. 18.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Grand Cherokee Limited model currently comes priced at Rs. 75.15 lakh compared to Rs. 93.64 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Grand Cherokee Summit gets a price cut of Rs. 17.85 lakh and the reduced pricing for this model is Rs. 85.15 lakh compared to its pre-GST era pricing of Rs. 1.03 crore.

The performance oriented Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT has also recued price reduction. In the revised pricelist, this SUV is priced at Rs. 1.07 crore compared to its pre-GST pricing of Rs. 1.12 crore. This SUV has become Rs. 5 lakh cheaper thanks to the new tax structure.
The second SUV from the brand here is the Wrangler Unlimited and the diesel model of this car too has become cheaper by Rs. 7.14 lakh. This SUV is currently available at Rs. 64.45 lakh compared to the pre-GST pricing of Rs. 71.59 lakh. The petrol powered Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is available at unchanged pricing of Rs. 56 lakh (ex-showroom).

Currently, the American SUV manufacturer is preparing to launch its third SUV Compass in the country market. This model has been developed keeping the markets like India, Brazil and Russia in focus. Upon launch, this is going to be the most affordable SUV from the brand. Apart from that, Jeep is also planning to launch more affordable and smaller model renegade in the domestic market.
