Yamaha R15 and FZ25 to see price slash due to the arrival of new GST taxes from the 1st of July

Yamaha has been a long operating player in the Indian market and the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturers has quite a strong presence in both the commuter segment, premium bike segment and scooter segment as well. Now, with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) ready to be rolled out across the country from 1st July, Yamaha is expected to join the other two-wheeler manufacturers in passing on the benefits of new tax system to the customers.

The Japanese company has both sub-350 cc and higher than 350 cc models in its Indian portfolio. Therefore, some of its products that come with sub-350 cc engines will see a price reduction thanks to the 28% total tax amount to be applied under GST compared to current tax system’s 30% tax incidence.
