Ford India has experienced 25% growth in Q1 of 2017; betting big on newly launched Figo Sports and Aspire Sports
Ford India is targeting to achieve 30%-35% growth in the first quarter of the current financial year. Inspired by the success in first quarter of 2017, where it has achieved 25% growth, despite low double digit growth of the entire Indian auto industry, the American automaker is aiming success in next three months.
The automaker has just launched latest offerings the Figo Sports and Aspire Sports. Ford India is betting big on both of these Sports variants. Ford India’s general manager, sales-south, Mr. Narasimhan Balaji has said that the company has already set benchmarks in their respective segments with feature like maximum number of airbags on offer and lowest cost of service as well. Both these cars have shown progress with their petrol variants, which has inspired the brand.
Ford India currently has an exciting lineup in India that includes models like Figo hatchback, Aspire compact sedan, EcoSport compact SUV, Endeavour big SUV, Mustang sports coupe etc. Indian buyers being known for their love for compact SUVs and crossovers, the EcoSport has seen immense success in its segment despite tough competition from rivals like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
The launch of Figo Sports and Aspire Sports in the country market has added zing to the brand’s portfolio. The Figo Sports and Aspire Sports come priced from 6.32 lakh and 6.51 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) respectively. Both the cars appear with significant exterior update compared to their regular models. However, the biggest change in the Sports variants is the driving dynamics they both get.
Another interesting car in the Ford India’s stable is going to be the facelift version of the EcoSport compact SUV that is ready to hit the showrooms of the country sometime around Diwali this year or in early 2018. It will arrive with significant design updates at exterior and inside the cabin too along with several new features. No wonder, this car is going to play a very crucial role for the brand’s growth in the country.
