Ford is going to launch mid-life facelift models of Figo and Aspire in India. The dealers are giving massive discounts on Figo and Aspire to clear stocks. Some Delhi dealerships offer discount of upto Rs. 1 lakh on Figo and Aspire while Mumbai dealerships offering discount of Rs. 80,000. The other benefits they are offering include 0 percent interest loan and exchange bonus.
These offers does make the Figo and Aspire very attractive as the American manufacturer introduced both these models with great expectations but things haven’t gone according to the plan as they are barely managing to sell more than 1000 units per month for both these models which is very low considering they are really good models.

The first generation Figo was a huge success for the company but they have improved everything on the second generation model but still sales are low. One of the reasons for low volumes is the interior as the centre console has lots of buttons and some how the interior feels very cheap along with built quality which has gone down considerably.
The solid feel of previous Figo was somewhere lost in the second generation model. But these problems will be solved in the new model as the interior will be completely new and we can expect all the features from Freestyle to make it to the Figo and Aspire models like the new touch screen infotainment system and new instrument cluster.

Ford Figo and Aspire will be powered by new 1.2 L three cylinder dragon series petrol engine with 96 hp replaced the old 85 hp 1.2 Sigma series engines. The diesel engine will be the same 1.5 L unit with 100 hp of power. These engines will be mated to 5 speed manual gearbox. The safety features from current model including 6 airbags, ABS with EBD will be carried over to new model also. We can expect the price of stay the same for both Figo and Aspire.
