The Ford EcoSport Signature Edition will soon be entering the Indian market and traces of it have emerged on the internet several times already. With its launch expected sometime this month, it appears to be reaching showrooms as well.
The Signature Edition will be offered in two different variants and they will have cosmetic and feature updates compared to the standard EcoSport subcompact SUV. The American manufacturer is trying to lure in more customers into its fold with new variants for its best-selling model.
Important information regarding the Signature Edition have come up indeed as the SVP variant will be based on the Titanium Plus trim, besides the S version receiving a few notable inclusions. Increasing the styling quotient, the Ford EcoSport Signature SVP comes equipped with substantial exterior updates.
They include glossy black front grille with chrome surrounds, black coloured roof rails, blacked out headlamps and fog lamp bezel, as well as 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The Special Vehicle Pack will be retailed in four colour schemes namely Absolute Black, Moondust Silver, Lightening Blue and Diamond White.
Other significant updates are powered sliding roof, blue interior theme, and rear spoiler. The Ford EcoSport S, on the other hand, adorns black painted roof rails, 4.2-inch analog cluster, as well as black headlamp and fog lamp bezel. Unlike the SVP, the S version will be available in all the paint schemes. Ford will sell the EcoSport SVP and S in two engine choices.
The 1.0-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 125 bhp and 170 Nm torque. It will be connected to a six-speed manual transmission. The 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine develops as much as 99 bhp and 205 Nm and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
