Ford To Bring Back 1.0L EcoBoost Engine On EcoSport’s New Variant

Ford EcoSport S will be positioned above top-end Titanium+ and gets stiffened suspension, 17 inch alloy wheels and a sunroof

Ford recently introduced an update for EcoSport. Earlier this month, the features of EcoSport have been revised to make it even more attractive for customers. The American manufacturer is going to expand EcoSport variant lineup with the introduction of Titanium S and Signature Edition based on Titanium+ variant. The S variant began its journey with the introduction of Fiesta S a few years ago.

The EcoSport S will be positioned above Titanium+ which is the current top end model. The new S model gets stiffened suspension and 17 inch alloy wheels along with a sunroof. Ford also offers EcoSport S with HID headlamps, updated instrument cluster, tyre pressure monitoring system and 4.2 inch display on the instrument cluster.

Ford EcoSport Titanium+ Petrol With 5-Speed MT Launched At Rs. 10.47 LakhThe EcoSport S gets black inserts on grille, headlamps and fog lamps along with contrasting roof. Ford is also going to introduce a new Satin Orange colour on EcoSport and this same colour will be applied to seats, door pad and centre console. Ford Ecosport S is powered by 1.5 L diesel engine producing 100 PS of power at 3,750 rpm and 205 nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. This engine is mated to 5 speed manual gearbox.

Ford EcoSport Signature Edition variant comes with 17 inch alloy wheels but the design is different from S model and a spoiler at the rear. The Signature Edition also gets black inserts on grille, headlamps and fog lamps along with Anodised Blue colour and Signature Edition badges. The interior is finished in black with contrasting stitching to match the exterior blue colour along with blue inserts on dashboard and door pads.

Ford EcoSport Facelift IndiaThe Signature Edition will be powered by the same diesel engine from S variant along with new 1.5 L Dragon series petrol engine producing 121 ps of power at 6,500 rpm and 150 nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. This engine is mated to 5 speed manual or 6 speed automatic transmission. With the facelift, Ford discontinued 1.0 EcoBoost engine but the company will bring back this engine with the Signature Edition variant. Ford will officially launch EcoSport S and Signature Edition in May 2018.
