The new Ford Ecosport will offer a wide range of customization options to its owner; several optional packages can be applied via Ford Configurator
The new 2018 Ford Ecosport can be customised on the company’s configurator now. The price of the fully loaded Ecosport has been revealed and the car will set its owner back by USD 30,555.
The Ford Ecosport Titanium trim offers a 1.0-litre four cylinder engine churning out 123 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque. If a customers pays USD 1500 more over the variant’s base package that costs USD 25,740, he will get a more powerful and punchier 2.0 litre engine that generates a maximum power of 166 bhp along with a peak torque of 202 Nm. Furthermore, an All Wheel Drive (AWD) system is also offered with the said upgrade.
The titanium trim of the new Ford Ecosport has multiple interesting features. For instance, the car gets a moonroof, leather upholstery, auto dimming rear view mirrors, nine speaker B&O play stereo and a sync infotainment system with navigation. In order to offer more safety to the customer, the car also receives a blind spot monitoring function.
The 2018 Ford Ecosport Titanium variant can be picked from a total of 10 exterior colour options. The cost of Ruby Red and Blue Candy is USD 395 while the White Platinum shade cost USD 595. The car comes with 17-inch standard alloy wheels but customers can even opt for a different design with machined details at a additional price of USD 470. The diameter of the wheel remains the same.
The options for the top end trim are quite limited. There is a cold weather package that includes a heated steering wheel, floor liners, windshield wiper de-icer and heated rear view mirrors. There is also a cargo management package that puts a net and organizer at the rear end of the car. A few elements are also available individually in the form of a remote start system, keyless entry pads and mud flaps. These come at respective prices of USD 495, USD 110 and USD 200.
Ford has announced that it will be bringing the new Ecosport to the United States at Los Angeles Show. The car will be Blue Oval’s first vehicle that will be produced in India and will be exported to the US.
