Ford India has joined an exclusive club of automobile manufacturers in the domestic market to have achieved one million car sales and celebrated the occasion in an event by welcoming its One-Millionth customer.
In a grand ceremony, Ford India’s President and Managing Director, Anurag Mehrotra, has greeted the company’s millionth Indian customer, as Nikhil Kakkar from New Delhi received keys for his Ford Freestyle CUV at Dwarka Ford dealership.
On the momentous occasion, Anurag Mehrotra said that the American brand has focussed on strategic pillar like “Strong Brand, Right Products, Competitive Cost and Effective Scale” to ensure the faster expansion of Ford’s family. Over the last two decades, Ford has invested more than US$ 2 billion and introduced some of the iconic nameplates such as Ikon, Endeavour, Fiesta, Figo, EcoSport and world’s best-selling sports car Mustang.
The power choice ranges from the award-winning 1.0-litre EcoBoost to the 5.0-litre V8 currently. Ford has constantly been expanding its nationwide dealership network as well as there are more than 465 sales and service outlets in 267 cities are present across the country. Retail distribution has resulted in Ford Genuine parts being available across 3,500 touch points at present.
Initiative such as ‘Service Price Promise’ allows customers to calculate the vehicles’ periodic maintenance costs even before booking the service. The part costs can also be found online at Ford’s website to ensure transparency.
In the existing portfolio, Ford has the EcoSport as its best-selling vehicle while recently launched Freestyle CUV is giving company and has resulted in 37 percent overall YoY sales growth last month. Ford will be introducing its facelifted Figo and Aspire in the coming months or in early 2019. Next year, the updated Endeavour is also expected to be launched along with new Mustang as part of refreshing the lineup.
