Ford Aspire facelift bookings have officially opened for refundable amount of Rs. 11,000 ahead of launch on October 4
Ford is going to launch the Aspire facelift model on August 4 and the company has officially opened the bookings across India. The booking amount is Rs. 11,000 and the first batch has been already dispatched to the showrooms for display and demo purposes. The exterior design changes on Aspire facelift model are subtle.
The Aston-Martin inspired front grille gets chrome finish along with updated bumper and a new C-shaped fog lamp housing. The headlamps have been carried over from the current model and the company has given smoked effect for a sporty look. The side doesn’t have any changes except for new 15-inch alloy wheels.
The rear gets a new bumper and tweaked tail lamps to round off the exterior changes. Ford might introduce new exterior colour options to make the Aspire look fresh. The interior changes starts with a new dashboard, which comes from Freestyle crossover based on Figo hatchback.
The dashboard is finished in black and beige colour combination as the centre console gets a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but the control for climate control is same. The Aspire facelift model comes with USB port for charging instead of regular 12 V sockets.
The Aspire comes with lots of features like steering mounted audio controls, keyless entry, push-button, reverse camera with parking sensors, electronically controlled exterior mirrors, Ford MyKey, cooled glove box and more. The safety feature of compact sedan includes 6 airbags on top end model and dual airbags as standard along with ABS and EBD with Brake Assist.
Ford will also replace the current 1.2 L engine with new 1.2 L 3 cylinder petrol engine producing 96 PS of power and 120 Nm of torque. The diesel engine will be the same 1.5 L unit from current model with 100 PS and 215 Nm. These engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. We can also expect a small bump in price also.
