1. Much bigger than Innova Crysta

The Toyota Vellfire is a luxury MPV, which can easily fit the Innova Crysta inside. It is huge in dimensions and measures 4,950mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,950mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 3,000mm, which is extremely big. The vehicle gets an 8-seater configuration. This Vellfire will offer a large amount of space, which is perfect for the big Indian families. It will also suit the corporates who move around a lot.

2. Most expensive Toyota MPV

The Toyota Innova Crysta is not the only MPV in Toyota’s global line-up. The Vellfire sits on the top of the list of MPVs line-up of the brand. The base model of the Vellfire is priced at around Rs. 50 lakh and the Indian model is expected to carry the same price tag. The Toyota Innova’s most expensive variant is priced at Rs. 23.5 lakh, ex-showroom. The high price of the Vellfire will cause a wide price gap in the line-up.

The Toyota Vellfire gets powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine that is available with the Toyota Camry too. It gets Atkinson’s cycle Hybrid system similar to the Camry. The petrol-hybrid powertrain of the Vellfire produces a maximum power of 202 Bhp. It gets an e-CVT transmission, which is also found in the Camry Hybrid. As per various review reports, the Vellfire returns a maximum of 19-20 km/l from the petrol engine, which is exceptional in the segment.

The Toyota Vellfire is loaded to the brim when it comes to features. It gets a 12-speaker system from JBL and a touchscreen infotainment system with a navigation system. 5. India launch likely

The Indian government has allowed importing as many as 2,500 of any car model without the need of the homologation process. This will allow Toyota to launch the all-new Vellfire without going through the homologation process of the Indian market. Being very expensive, the Alphard is expected to be a niche product.

Toyota may bring in a few units to check the market response and then launch a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) version of the vehicle depending on the demand.
