There are already quite a few options in the mass segment that offer turbocharged petrol engine, but most of them are SUVs. Which SUVs are these? Well, here is a list of the most affordable petrol turbocharged engine available in India.

1. Tata Nexon

Tata Nexon is the most affordable sub-4m SUV in the market, and it is also the most affordable car in this list. A 1.2-litre turbocharged, three-cylinder engine powers all the petrol versions of the Tata Nexon. The engine produces a maximum power of 108 Bhp and peak torque of 260 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed AMT automatic transmission.

2. Hyundai Venue

The Hyundai Venue is the latest car to be launched in the sub-4m compact SUV segment in India. It is a much-awaited car and gets powered by two petrol engine options and a diesel engine option. The most powerful engine option available with the Venue is the turbocharged petrol engine.

The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine available with the Venue produces a maximum power of 118 Bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. It gets a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It is currently the only car in the segment with Dual-Clutch transmission.

3. Mahindra XUV300

The all-new car is currently the second-best selling product in the segment and gets powered by both petrol and diesel engine options. The XUV300 boasts of offering highest torque in the segment with both petrol and diesel engine options.

The Mahindra XUV300’s petrol variants are powered by an all-new three-cylinder 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that develops a maximum of 110 Bhp and peak torque of massive 200 Nm. The torque of XUV300’s turbo-petrol engine is similar to many diesel engine options available n the segment.

4. Ford EcoSport

The 1.0-litre engine produces a maximum power of 124 Bhp and peak torque of 170 Nm. The Ford EcoSport EcoBoost is only available with the high-end variants of the compact SUV.
