TVS recently introduced the Jupiter Grande in India. The Jupiter Grande gets new all-LED headlamps which were missing earlier along with a semi-digital instrument cluster with blue backlit illumination. The Jupiter Grande has not received any technical updates though and is still powered by the 109.7 cc single cylinder, air-cooled engine which powers the standard Jupiter variant. This engine is capable of producing about 8 bhp of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 8 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. This engine is mated to CVT automatic transmission.

2. Suzuki Access 125

Price: Rs. 55,370 to 65,761 (ex-showroom)

There is no doubt in the fact that the Access 125 surely is one of the popular scooters when we speak of top 5 popular scooters of India at this moment. Suzuki gave the Access mid-life refresh back in 2016 and it hasn’t received any more updates since then except few special edition models.

The scooter sits on 12-inch wheels and is also offered with a front disc brake as an option. The Access 125 also features a part-analogue and part-digital instrument cluster and a 3D signature emblem.

Hero Motocorp recently introduced the Destini 125 in India. The scooter is offered in two variants including LX and VX grades. The Hero Destini was first showcased at the 2018 Delhi Auto show alongside the Hero Duet 125 and Maestro Edge 125.

The Destini has a neat and clear design; unfortunately, it does not get LED headlamps yet unlike some of its rivals. However, it benefits from some other new features like a remote key opening, tubeless tires, external fuel filler cap, and a semi-digital instrumentation. The slightly pricier VX variant offers a boot light and mobile charger.

4. Suzuki Burgman Street

Price:  Burgman Street STD:- Rs. 68,347 (ex-showroom)

This is the newest entrant from Suzuki and definitely also one of its kind maxi-Scooter in India. The Burgman Street was introduced in July 2018 and Suzuki was able to sell almost 9598 units of the scooter in September. The scooter took its overall styling inspiration from the bigger Burgman 650 and gets plenty of premium features which definitely are worth eye-catching.

For instance, the scooter gets LED headlamps and taillamps and a fully digital instrument cluster. The Activa has received its own share of updates in recent years and Honda introduced the new Activa 5G with some exclusive features this year. The scooter gets a full LED headlamps and a semi-digital instrument cluster. For the very first time, Honda has decided to offer an ECO speeds indicator alongside a Service Due Indicator as well.

The scooter is powered by the same single-cylinder air-cooled BS4 compliant engine which is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 8 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm of peak torque delivered at 5,500 rpm.
